Dalsan radio reporter, Mascud Abdullahi Adam has critically injured in the port town of Kismayo on Wednesday after Raskamboni militias and the Kenyan Army in Kismayo opened following a heavy bomb blast targeted them.

The journalist Mascud Abdullahi was shot and wounded together with other journalist Farah Sahal who reported the independent Goobjoog radio in Mogadishu after the pair went to the explosion scene to report the event soon after the blast happened but unfortunately both of the journalists met with the undiscriminated gunfire which brought the two journalists to receive bullet injuries.

Dalsan radio journalist Mascud Abdullahi has sustained heavy wounds from his head and his stomach and as soon as he was rushed to the hospital the doctors said he needed urgent surgery.  The two journalists were hospitalized with the main Kismayo hospital where the medical access remained insufficient and has no enough medicine since the town has been a hot spot between different warring sides.

Dalsan radio director Hassan Ali Gesey has expressed great concern on the situation of the journalist Mascud Abdullahi as there were no immediate means to reach him.

Meanwhile another journalist who witnessed the journalists' situation told Dalsan Radio that the two journalists will need extra medication and their consitions to be reviewed if the doctors in Kismayo seemed that they could not provide the needed medical service due to their critical condition and unconscious situation which the journalist Mascud Abdullahi had undergone.
